E-mail messages and fax massages are differentiated by means of specific address formats. It is therefore possible to send one message both as a fax massage and an e-mail message to one or more users. As a result, communication gets more effective. Receiving fax messages through e-mail Fax messages are also received in the Lotus Notes system. The recipient receives a fax message taking the form of an e-mail message; the fax message is enclosed as an attachment. Sending faxes from any application Thanks to the virtual printer, the user can send faxes from any application enabling printing in the MS Windows environment. After a particular document is printed onto this “software printer” and the recipient address is entered, the document is sent as a fax message. Supporting timed transmissions Timing transmissions can save your telecom costs (postponing fax transmissions until a period with a cheaper tariff). Easy-to-survey history and statistics of fax communication The history of fax communication is available through the user's mailbox. The respective fax messages appear among e-mail messages. The ExtraFax product keeps its own history of fax communication and provides statistical outputs. Possibility of integration with HP Digital Sender 9100 The whole solution cab be integrated with HP Digital Sender 9100 for digitisation and subsequent processing of paper documents. As a result, fax traffic is not limited to sending documents in digital form.
