Company history

Since 1994, we have been building a tradition in information technology.

Our company's beginnings are closely tied to the advertising agency Business Arts, for which we provided all information technology. The clients of the first projects we delivered were real estate agents and representatives of commercial companies. Over time, a division of the agency focused on IT was established, utilizing technologies from Progress Software.

In 1993, with the arrival of another partner, the division transformed into Business Arts Development, and a year later it fully separated from the parent agency Business Arts. Thus, in 1994, a company named CS Development was founded.

Ing. Jan Suchomel – company director: "Since 1993, our main domain has been Lotus Notes technology, which at that time was version 3.0c."

Ing. František Bašta – technical director: "The Lotus Notes system was then used by CocaCola, General Motors, NASA, Bundeswehr, and even the CIA. But here, almost nobody knew about it..."

Our first client was EDIT, from which we received our first major order in the same year we became an independent company. This company created one of the first business directories in the Czech Republic, and our task was to implement a system for collecting and processing data from approximately 12 branches across the Czech and Slovak Republics. The system was also to include a billing module, making it a perfect task for Lotus Notes. Thanks to this system, the first electronic business directory on CD-ROM in the Czech Republic was created alongside the printed version.

In 1994, we became partners of Lotus, and in 1996, after meeting all necessary requirements, we received the highest possible title – Lotus Premium Partner. After IBM acquired Lotus, this highest level of partnership began to be called IBM Premier Partner. During this period, we gained additional important experience while gradually strengthening our position on the domestic IT market.

The turning point came in 1997 when the strongest mobile telecommunications operator – Eurotel – became our client. In the first phase of cooperation, the goal was to migrate the entire email system from MS Mail to Lotus Notes. Besides this internal project, we developed and implemented the Dealer Station system for Eurotel, addressing communication between the operator and its network of authorized dealers. Due to Eurotel's growing demands on the original Dealer Station system, a new POS (Point of Sales) system was later developed and subsequently extended to all Eurotel branded stores.

In 1998, we had the opportunity to directly contribute to the development of Lotus Notes. Together with the Irish branch of Lotus, we participated in testing the Czech localization of Lotus Notes R5, which was a very interesting and unique experience for us. Along with the growing number of delivered projects and related technologies, our portfolio was gradually expanded to include other IBM products, such as IBM Websphere and Content Management.

The mass adoption of the internet led to increasing security risks, so in subsequent years we focused on antivirus, antispam, and security technologies. This effort culminated in 2001 with a partnership agreement with Symantec. In the same year, we surpassed the annual revenue milestone of 100 million CZK for the first time.

In 2002, all branches were consolidated into a single office at Oldřichova 52, Prague 2. We expanded our services to include a call center providing technical contract support 365 days a year. Our CRM solution was localized into additional languages and we cover the European branches of our clients. In 2006, construction of a new wing of company offices was completed at Oldřichova 52, Prague 2.

The arrival of mobile devices on iOS and Android platforms challenged us to create and port our applications to these operating systems. Since 2011, we have been building systems that bridge the world of Lotus Notes/Domino with our clients' mobile devices, as well as applications exclusively designed for these devices. Since 2012, our company has been an Apple Developer partner for the iOS platform.

As our development experience gradually expanded, we began offering robust web applications built on the PHP Laravel platform. This technology enables us to create scalable and secure solutions for our clients while maintaining the high quality and reliability they are accustomed to from our Lotus Notes/Domino projects.

Since 2025, we have been actively working with technologies related to artificial intelligence, particularly in the area of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and local LLMs. We have connected the Lotus Notes/Domino world with AI through our own applications that enable both direct access to secure LLMs and the creation of context-oriented RAG tasks. This brings our clients modern tools for working with information directly in their existing environment.
